Not everyone spends their birthday on the way up to Everest Base Camp, but that is exactly what Sheila did last November when she was trekking up to begin her charity Everest Marathon challenge.

Thanks to the support of all her friends, family and customers Sheila raised an amazing £20,000 for Willen Hospice.  It was a big, big challenge and she left for the event leaving behind her a lot of very worried people who couldn’t help but marvel at the enormity of the task ahead of her.Sheila everest   Still she is not easily put off and has personally raised in excess of £100,000 for the Hospice by taking part in marathons in both London and New York, sponsored bike rides, three peaks challenge, sky diving, hiked up Kilimanjaro and organised her own high profile golf day at Woburn.  There certainly is no stopping her efforts.

She arrived home looking relaxed, fit and very happy to be back. Speaking about her experience Sheila said;

“This has been without doubt my hardest challenge but with lots of commitment and great support from my family and friends, it has been an amazing experience.   Willen Hospice has to find in excess of £2.6m of charitable funding this coming year and like all charities the downturn in the economy is affecting them badly.  I would like to thank everyone who has supported me in this event and urge them to continue to find a way to support the dedicated and necessary work that Willen provides to the community of Milton Keynes and beyond”.
